Rathkeale College - Course Information

Students have very limited choice of subjects in the junior school as it is thought to be important that students have an experience of a wide variety of subjects. Options expand as they progress through the college. Information is supplied in a Junior Curriculum Book for Year 9 and 10. For Years 11 – 13 a Curriculum Handbook [available to download here as a pdf, 667KB] provides an overview of  how to go about making choices; information on national qualifications; policy on internal assessment; subject choices and careers and the overall subjects that are offered is given to each student. Individual subject information is also available.
 
[Please note that Maori has only been introduced to Year 9 from 2009 and will gradually be added to the option subjects as these students move through the college.]
